At Moran Outdoor School...
Our goal is to create a program that strikes a balance between facilitating students’ understanding of how the natural world works, building a school’s community, and providing students the time and opportunity to develop their own personal connections with the Earth.
Students learn to respect the natural world, their fellow students, and themselves.
Outdoor School Naturalists teach fundamental ecological concepts that students can apply to their future education and actions.
Students have the opportunity to explore diverse ecosystems within Moran State Park during activities such as hiking and kayaking.

Location: Moran Outdoor School is located in Moran State Park on beautiful Orcas Island, in the northwest corner of Washington State. It provides environmental education programs for students of all ages. Program lengths range from two hours to five days and occur in the spring and fall.
